On Tuesday afternoon, Sudan host Ghana at the Al-Hilal Stadium, in Group C of qualifying for the African Cup of Nations.
The hosts head into this clash on a poor recent run of form, as they head into this difficult clash on the back of just one victory in their last eight international outings. Last time out, Sudan lost the reverse fixture 2-1 in Cape Coast.

The defeat leaves the home side on three points from their three qualifiers. Their underwhelming performance in Group C is unlikely to be much of a surprise, as Sudan have won just two of their previous 12 qualifiers. To make matters worse they have also lost eight of their last ten matches in qualifying for the African Cup of Nations.
Their home record in qualifying is a poor one too, as they have won just once in five matches on home soil. However, that one win came in their last qualifier on home soil, as they trounced Sao Tome e Principe 4-0.
Ghana are sitting atop of Group C after a dominant start to qualifying, as the Black Stars have won all three of their games in the latest qualification campaign for the African Cup of Nations.
Their qualification campaign has been based on good defensive displays, as Charles Akonnor’s team has yet to concede in their three qualifiers this time around.
It is not just Ghana’s form in qualifying that has been impressive of late, the visitors have been in good general form, winning four of their previous five games in all competitions.
If there is one negative of late for the visitors it is has been their inconsistent away form, as Ghana have won just three of their last eight matches on their travels.
