On Wednesday night, Ferencvaros host Juventus at the Puskas Arena in Group G of the Champions League, as the visitors look to get their European campaign back on track after defeat last time out.
The home side were always going to be underdogs in a group that contains Juventus, Barcelona and also Dynamo Kiev. So far, the Hungarian side have picked up just a point from the two games of their Champions League campaign this season.
The point picked up was in a 2-2 home draw with Dynamo Kiev in their last outing in European football’s elite competition and means that they have failed to win any of their previous four matches in the Champions League.
Their recent record in the competition may not be great, but Ferencvaros’ matches have not lacked goals of late, with over 2.5 goals scored in five of their previous six games.
Ferencvaros are unbeaten in four home games in the Champions League, but most of those matches were in the pre-group stages of the competition.
Juventus have enjoyed mixed fortunes in the Champions League so far. In gameweek one, the Bianconeri recorded a 2-0 win at Dynamo Kiev before suffering a defeat of the same scoreline against Barcelona last time out.
Despite the loss against the Catalan giants, the visitors have a stellar recent record in the competition, winning seven of their previous nine matches.
The reigning Italian champions have also been relatively prolific in Europe’s elite competition, scoring at least two goals in seven of their last ten outings in the Champions League.
Juventus have a decent recent away record in the competition, winning three of their last four outings on their travels. However, those three wins are their only victories away from home in eight matches.
Forebet predicts that Juventus will bounce back from that Barcelona defeat by recording a narrow victory in a high-scoring encounter.
