Tottenham wrapped up Gameweek 6 with a narrow 1-0 victory over Burnley on Monday, but with the Premier League fixtures coming thick and fast at the moment, Gameweek 7 is already just around the corner.

Wolves and Crystal Palace kick off this weekend’s action, so make sure you’ve finalised your FPL transfers before 18:30 (GMT) on Friday, October 30.

Let’s star by taking a look at the upcoming fixtures.

    • Wolves vs. Crystal Palace

    • Sheffield United vs. Manchester City

    • Burnley vs. Chelsea

    • Liverpool vs. West Ham

    • Aston Villa vs. Southampton

    • Newcastle vs. Everton

    • Manchester United vs. Arsenal

    • Tottenham vs. Brighton

    • Fulham vs. West Brom

    • Leeds vs. Leicester

Manchester United vs. Arsenal is undoubtedly the tie of the round, while Leeds vs. Leicester also looks tasty. However, with both Fulham and West Brom winless this season, the baggies trip to the Cottage on Monday is also hugely important.

Right, let’s get stuck into the top FPL pick for Gameweek 7.

    Goalkeepers

Alex McCarthy (Southampton) moved level with Emi Martinez (Aston Villa) and Rui Patricio (Wolves) at the top of the clean sheet charts last weekend. The Saints goalkeeper achieved his third shutout in four games against Everton.

Burnley and Sheffield United remain the joint-lowest scorers in the division, so Edouard Mendy (Chelsea) and Ederson (Manchester City) are both worth looking at, with the Clarets hosting the Blues and the Blades welcoming Pep Guardiola’s side to Bramall Lane.

With Manchester United misfiring lately, Bernd Leno (Arsenal) could be a solid selection this week. Let’s not forget the Gunners’ boast the second-best defensive record in the Premier League this term.

    Defenders

Kurt Zouma (Chelsea) was the highest scoring defender in the previous round, picking up nine points following a goalless draw with Man Utd. Reece James, Thiago Silva, Cesar Azpilicueta and Ben Chilwell are also worth considering, with low-scoring Burnley up next for Frank Lampard’s men.

Leeds picked up their second clean sheet of the season last time out, so Robin Koch and Ezgjan Alioski scored big. Marcelo Bielsa’s side face a tough test against Leicester on Monday, but back-to-back shutouts is by no means unachievable.

Romain Saiss (Wolves) is still the highest scoring defender this term. But if you’re looking for a solid budget buy, look no further than Max Kilman. The Wolves youngster has been seriously impressive since breaking into the team.

    Midfielders

Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace) has started the season in sparkling form, bagging five goals and an assist in the opening six games. He will surely fancy his chances of adding to his tally this weekend.

James Ward-Prowse is also a fantastic bargain pick. The Southampton man netted his first goal of the season against Everton last weekend and is a guaranteed starter for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side.

Liverpool’s favoured front three – Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Roberto Firmino – often grab the headlines. But Diogo Jota seems to have settled in really quickly following his move from Wolves. The Portuguese has scored in his last two games for the Reds, so he is worth considering.

If you're after a differential midfielder, Tom Cairney (Fulham), Sander Berge (Sheffield United), and Jacob Murphy (Newcastle) are all consistent performers.

    Forwards

There is no questioning who the star of Gameweek 6 was. Patrick Bamford scored a superb hat-trick against Aston Villa, taking his tally to six goals and two assists in six games this season. He is now the second-highest scoring forward in the game.

The Kane and Son combo doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. Kane assisted Son once again last weekend and now has a remarkable five goals and eight assists under his belt in the Premier League this term.

Karlan Grant marked his West Brom debut with a goal and now looks set to be a key figure for the Baggies. Michy Batshuayi (Crystal Palace) and Michail Antonio (West Ham) are both top-class budget options.

Sergio Aguero (Man City) sustained another injury at the weekend. Unfortunately, the Argentine looks set for another lengthy spell on the sidelines.
