There are several fixtures from the English Premier League on Sunday afternoon. One of which takes place at Molineux as Wolverhampton Wanderers meet Fulham.

The hosts begin the weekend in 16th place on 3 points while the visitors currently bottom of the table and yet to get off the mark this season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers travelled to London last weekend to take on West Ham United. It turned out to be a disappointing performance and result for Wolves as they lost the game 4-0. It was a shock result in a match Wolves would have been confident of winning but they were 1-0 down after 17 minutes and could not get back into the game. Wolves conceded 3 more goals in the second half.

That result means Wolves have lost each of their last 3 games in all competitions. Prior to the defeat at West Ham United, Wolves lost 3-1 at home against Manchester City in the Premier League and 1-0 at home against Stoke City in the League Cup.

Wolves home form has been inconsistent of late and they have won only 4 of their last 10 home league games. However, they have been good defensively and trends show Wolves have kept a clean sheet in 8 of their last 12 home matches in all competitions. They have also scored at least once in 4 of their last 5 home games.

Fulham have made a poor start to life in the Premier League following their promotion from the championship last season. They had a tricky home fixture to begin against Arsenal but failed to make a mark on the game, eventually losing the match 3-0. They then faced a trip to Leeds United, who won promotion along with Fulham last season, and lost 4-3. Fulham were level at 1-1 just before half time but conceded 3 goals in the space of 16 minutes to eventually lose the match 4-3.

Last weekend, Fulham played Aston Villa at home and this was a game they were hoping to win. Unfortunately, it did not turn out that way and Fulham were a goal behind after only 4 minutes and after 48 minutes of the game they were 3-0 down. They did not fare any better in the League Cup this week and Fulham lost 3-0 at Brentford to exit the competition.

Trend show Fulham have been defeated at both half time and full time in 4 of their last 6 matches in all competitions.

Team news and Wolves will be without injured fullbacks Fernando Marcal and Jonny. Forward Daniel Podence is a doubt having picked up a knock.

Fulham will definitely be without Kenny Tete who is injured. They also have doubts over the fitness of Harrison Reed and Mario Lemina.

Wolves will see this as a must win game but Fulham could make life difficult for the hosts, especially if they can score goals as they did in their only other away Premier League game this season. We could see Fulham pick up their first point of the campaign in a draw with both teams scoring.
