Norwegian club Rosenborg host Dutch side PSV Eindhoven on Thursday night in the Europa League playoff round. The two clubs are just one step away from qualifying for the Europa League group stage.
PSV Eindhoven finished fourth in the Dutch Eredivisie last term. They entered the Europa League at the third qualifying round and thrashed Slovenia’s Mura, 5-1. Donyell Malen and Cody Gakpo both scored a brace in the win.

Rosenborg are second in the Eliterserien but have had a tumultuous season. They are on their third manager of the season. Age Hareide took over the reins of the team on September 1st.
The Norwegians entered the Europa League in the first round of qualifying. They defeated Iceland’s Breidablick 4-2, Ventspils 5-1, and Alanyaspor 1-0. They have not faced off against a team of PSV Eindhoven’s quality in the tournament as yet.
