Atalanta are on the verge of their best-ever Serie A finish. Gian Piero Gasperini’s team are third in Serie A and with six more points, can finish second.

Before they get to the August Champions League return, Atalanta will finish out their domestic campaign. They face off with Parma on Tuesday night before playing Inter Milan at the weekend.
Parma head into the game with nothing to play for as they sit 11th in the table. The Crociati can finish as high as eighth as long as they win their final two matches and the teams in front of them lose points.

While both games played in Bergamo were wins to nil for Atalanta, their game at the Stadio Ennio Tardini in 2018-19 finished with both teams scoring goals. All three games between Atalanta and Parma since the latter’s return to the division finished with over 2.5 goals scored.
Parma have collected 23 points from 54 possible at home this season. They are +3 in goals and thanks to a decent home record will remain in Serie A next season.
Atalanta, on the other hand, have Serie A’s second-best away points total (37). They have bagged 45 goals on their travels, a Serie A best. In fact, Atalanta have scored Serie A’s most goals, 96.
Forwards Josip Ilicic, Duvan Zapata, and Luis Muriel have combined to score 51 goals in Serie A. Ilicic is set to miss out on the game due to injury, but Atalanta have enough weapons to win once more on the road.
Tuesday night’s game should once again see over 2.5 goals and both teams scoring at the Stadio Ennio Tardini. It should also see Atalanta win for a fourth straight time against Parma.
