Neman Grodno followed up their recent win against Vitebsk with a solid point on the road at Shakhtyor Soligorsk on the weekend in a 0-0 draw which sets them up nicely for their upcoming Friday night clash against Belshina.
Friday evening’s hosts, Neman Grodno, had previously suffered back-to-back defeats on the road at Slutsk and Isloch Minsk in 1-0 and 2-1 losses respectively but recent results have seen an upturn in form for Neman Grodno and they’ll be confident that they can extend their run into this encounter.
Upon first glance, results have been pretty ordinary for Neman Grodno as they’ve registered just 1 win out of their last 5 matches overall, but it’s been their form and results on home turf at their Stadyen Nyoman which have helped the hosts up into the top half of the early standings in the Vysshaya Liga while the bigger picture looks rosy for Neman Grodno.

The home side have lost just 1 of their last 6 matches at home and includes wins against Dnyapro, FC Minsk, Tarpeda and Vitebsk, as well as recording a 1-0 win over Belshina in their last meeting at home.
Belshina currently sit rock-bottom of the Belarus top flight and have yet to open their account in this season’s Vysshaya Liga campaign to date having lost their first three league matches of the new term on the trot.
Defeats to FC Minsk, Torpedo Zhodino and Gorodeya have left the visitors bottom of the pile in the early domestic top flight standings, while the bigger picture shows that Belshina are without a win in the Vysshaya Liga from their last 10 matches overall, and indeed, have managed to pick up just 1 win out of their last 18 matches.
Therefore, current form suggests that Belshina could really struggle against an improving Neman Grodno side on home turf, especially as Belshina have captured just 1 win out of their last 10 matches on their travels.
A 2-0 win at Slavia Mozyr has been outweighed by 7 defeats within this disappointing 10-match period and perhaps even more importantly, the visitors have managed to keep just 1 clean sheet during this poor sequence of results on the road too.
Neman Grodno therefore look the more likely for the points here.
