FK Slutsk continued their solid and impressive pre-season form into last week’s opening round of the new Belarus top flight season when they secured all three points in an impressive 3-1 home win over Slavia and they’ll be hoping for more of the same when they play host to Dinamo Brest this Saturday.
Slutsk had previously strung together a 5-match unbeaten run in their pre-season preparations which included wins against Akzhayik 3-1 and a 4-0 romp away from home at Kazakhstan outfit, Aktobe, while also making it 12 matches without defeat in all competitions.
Saturday’s hosts finished last season in 11th place in the Vysshaya Liga but they nevertheless head into this clash against last season’s league winners in confident mood having won their last 3 league matches on the trot.
However, Slutsk face a tough challenge here as they’ve lost 5 of the previous 6 meetings against Saturday’s opponents, Dinamo Brest.

However, Dinamo Brest were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw at home in last weekend’s first match of the new season by Vysshaya Liga newcomers, Smolevichy, so the visitors will no doubt be keen to open their account at Slutsk this Saturday.
