This season has been a tough one for AC Milan in Serie A. The Italian giants have struggled for form for much of the campaign. However, heading into Friday’s visit to Brescia, there are signs that the Rossoneri are moving in the right direction.
Stefano Pioli’s team have kicked off 2020 in Serie A in a positive manner by mounting a three-game unbeaten run in the top-flight, including winning their last two league games against Cagliari and last time out Udinese.
The recent good form has moved the Rossoneri up to eighth in the table and a win here could temporarily move the visitors up to sixth-place and into the final European qualification spot.
Nobody at Milan will be getting too excited just yet, but with a record of three wins in their last four league games on the road, the Rossoneri will certainly fancy their chances of taking maximum points away from Brescia.
The fact that Milan are also unbeaten in the last 11 meetings with the home side will certainly offer them encouragement too.
Brescia are experiencing a difficult campaign in Serie A. Eugenio Corini’s team are currently sitting second from bottom in the Italian top-flight table after a poor recent run of form in Serie A.
The home side has not won in five league games heading into this potentially difficult clash. They have found victories hard to come by in general in the current campaign, as they recorded just four league wins all season.
Poor defensive displays have not helped Brescia’s chances of escaping the drop, with at least two goals conceded in four of their last five league matches.
Home has offered little comfort for Corini’s side, who have recorded just one win in their last 13 Serie A matches at the Stadio Mario Rigamonti.
