Leicester City have slipped into third place in the Premier League after a string of poor results over the course of their last six games. Brendan Rodgers’s team is coming off of a shock 2-1 loss at home versus Southampton and hope a trip to Turf Moor will be more fruitful.

The Foxes have gone from title contenders in the last month to a team that is hoping to hang onto a Champions League place. Leicester City have collected just seven points from their last 18 possible in the league. A win could move them back into second place depending on Manchester City’s result.

Burnley are now in a relegation battle. Sean Dyche’s team has lost four straight games. Just three points separate the Clarets from the Premier League’s bottom three. A loss could see Burnley sucked into the relegation zone.

Leicester City are unbeaten in their last three matches against Burnley. Two of those games ended in wins and that includes a victory last season at Turf Moor. The Foxes picked up a 2-1 win against Burnley earlier this season at the King Power Stadium.

Burnley striker Chris Wood opened the scoring in the first half before Jamie Vardy levelled the scores just before halftime. Youri Tielemans tallied a goal in the 74th minute to give the Foxes the win.

Leicester City have the second-best away points total in the Premier League. They have collected 22 points from a possible 33 on their travels. The Foxes have won back to back away fixtures in the division outscoring their opponents 5-1.

Burnley, on the other hand, have lost back to back matches in the league. The Clarets have only won one game in their last five and have truly struggled. Burnley have lost to nil twice in their last five games.

Rodgers will be without Daniel Amartey and Wilfried Ndidi who are both ruled out of the match through injury. Centre-back Wes Morgan could also miss out due to injury. Midfielder Matthew James is most likely to sit out once more due to a lack of match fitness.

Burnley could have Jay Rodriguez back from illness. They could use him in the attack having struggled to get on the scoresheet in recent games. Fellow striker Wood could also be available for the fixture. Meanwhile, Johan Berg Gudmundsson and Ashley Barnes are ruled out.

Leicester City’s recent record against Burnley is brilliant. The Foxes should get another win holding Burnley scoreless. Expect under 2.5 goals and a win to nil for Leicester City.
