For much of this season, Rangers have gone blow to blow with arch-rivals Celtic in the fight for top spot in the SPL. However, Steven Gerrard’s team head into Friday night’s visit to Hibernian five points behind the Hoops.
The trip to Edinburgh is the Gers game in-hand on their arch-rivals. A win would put Rangers right back in the fight for the SPL title.
The visitors are unbeaten in 12 league games, having recorded an impressive ten victories in the process. Gerrard’s team has been lethal in their unbeaten run in the SPL, scoring at least two goals in 11 of those 12 games, including their last seven league matches.

Rangers have been strong on their travels of late in the Scottish top-flight, as they are unbeaten in nine away games, having won seven times. Once again, just as in their games in general, the Gers have been prolific on their travels in the SPL.
Hibernian are sixth-place in the SPL table, a point behind fifth-place Kilmarnock and two points clear of seventh place Ross County in the race to finish in the league’s top six.
The home side’s recent form in the SPL has been poor, as they have recorded just one win in their last four outings.
Last time out they suffered a 2-0 defeat at champions and Rangers arch-rivals Celtic. The defeat saw Jack Ross’ team concede two goals for the third time in their last four league outings.
Hibs are hard to beat at Easter Road, as the team from the Scottish capital are undefeated in six league matches in the SPL, although four of those unbeaten games have finished all square. The home side has been prolific of late on home soil, scoring at least twice in their last five league matches.
