The Champions League has reached gameweek six and with many of the issues decided there are some games that are now just about regaining pride. One of those games is at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night, as Bayern Munich host Tottenham.
Both teams have already qualified for the knockout stages of the competition, with Bayern already sealing top spot, which should see the Bavarians handed a more favourable draw in the last-16.
The reverse fixture produced one of the most extraordinary results in the recent history of the competition, as the German champions recorded a 7-2 win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
However, much has changed since the meeting, mainly both teams have changed bosses with varying success. Tottenham have swapped Mauricio Pochettino for managerial icon Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese boss has made a bright to life with Spurs, having won four of his five matches in charge.
Bayern dispensed with the services of Croatian boss Niko Kovac and put Hans-Dieter Flick in charge on a temporary basis. The change did temporarily turn Die Bayern’s fortunes around. However, the German giants have now suffered successive league defeats to Bayer Leverkusen, and maybe most importantly Monchengladbach.

However, despite their recent domestic struggles, the Bavarians have a hundred per cent record in Group B. The German team have also proven lethal in front of goal in those recent wins scoring at least twice in all the victories.
The home side also has a pretty good recent record on home soil in the competition, recording wins in four of their last five European outings. Once again, they have illustrated their attacking prowess by scoring at least two goals in each win.
Tottenham are expected to field a weakened team in this clash. Reportedly England striker Harry Kane has not even travelled to Germany with the team, which hints at the sort of line-up the visitors are set to field.
Forebet predicts that Bayern Munich will get back to winning ways by recording a victory in a high-scoring encounter.
