Sheffield United travel to Carrow Road on Sunday seeking a reversal of fortunes from their result in midweek. The Blades lost 2-0 to Newcastle United at home to extend their winless run in the league to four matches.

Chris Wilder’s team is very familiar with Norwich City having played them in the EFL Championship in recent seasons. The Blades have a three-match unbeaten streak against the Canaries and will aim to extend it at Carrow Road.

Norwich City are also coming off of a loss in midweek. The Canaries were beaten by Southampton 2-1 away. It ended a two-match unbeaten run for Daniel Farke’s team. Norwich City had defeated Everton before drawing with Arsenal 2-2. There is life in the Canaries and survival could still happen.

Sheffield United go into the weekend ninth in the Premier League with 19 points from a possible 45 taken. The Blades are four points off of Wolverhampton Wanderers and the top five. If Wilder can get his side back to winning ways, they could fight for a Europa League spot.

Of course, Wilder simply wants Premier League safety after winning promotion from the Championship last term. It is the same aim of Farke as Norwich City are 19th and four points behind Southampton for safety. That loss to the Saints in midweek was a massive blow to survival hopes.

Three players are sidelined with injuries for Norwich City. Timm Klose, Josip Drmic, and Grant Hanley are all out of action for the weekend. The good news for Farke is the form of striker Teemu Pukki. The striker has eight goals and three assists this season. He has scored in each of his last two matches.

Sheffield United have no new injury concerns and Wilder can pick from a fresh squad. The Blades have been brilliant on the road this season and have not lost a match. They collected nine points from 21 possible while scoring eight goals and conceding six.

Norwich City have taken a mere seven points from 21 at home. There are signs of a life in the team, but consistency is the biggest issue with the side.

Sheffield United won two of the last four matches against Norwich City in the EFL Championship dating back to 2017. Norwich City were able to claim just one win in that time.

The Blades should get back to winning ways against Norwich City with both teams scoring and over 2.5 goals going into the back of the nets. Sheffield United will extend their three-match unbeaten run against the Canaries to four.
