What started out as a promising season for Lyon in Ligue One has turned into yet another story of inconsistency and missed opportunities for OL.

A 1-0 home reverse against Lille last time out ended a mini-run of two straight wins for OL in the French top-flight.
The defeat coupled with results elsewhere saw Lyon drop to tenth position in the French top-flight table. However, the top of the table is that congested that a victory and a Lille defeat in Friday’s other game could see OL move up to fourth place in the table.

Just like their general form, Lyon’s away form has been inconsistent this season. A record of two wins from their last seven matches on their travels in the French top-flight is not a great one. Those two wins have come in their last three away games in Ligue One though.
Nimes are enduring a difficult campaign in Ligue One, as the home side are currently 19th in the table, four points from safety.
Bernard Blaquart’s team have failed to win in their last nine matches in the French top-flight, suffering five defeats in the process.
One of Nimes main problems this season in Ligue One has been scoring goals, as only two teams in Ligue One have scored fewer than Nimes 12 goals. One positive for the home side is that they have only failed to score once in their last 15 league matches on home soil.
Forebet predicts that Nimes winless run in Ligue One will extend to ten games, with Lyon recording a victory in a high-scoring game.
