Borussia Dortmund are experiencing an unconvincing campaign so far in both the Bundesliga and the Champions League. BVB return to domestic action on Saturday afternoon, as they visit Berlin to face Hertha.
Lucien Favre’s side head to the capital on the back of a three-game winless run in all competitions. Despite a recent poor run of form, they are still just five points off the top of the table.
Last time out, they suffered a 3-1 defeat at Barcelona in the Champions League, which leaves their hopes of qualifying for the last-16 dangling by a thread.

Their recent Bundesliga form has been a mixed bag, as a 3-3 home draw against Paderborn last time out in the league means that BVB have won just one of their last four matches in the German top-flight. The fact that they have conceded seven goals in their last two league outings will be a major concern to Favre and his players.
However, their recent away form is just as concerning, as Dortmund have failed to win in their last five Bundesliga games on their travels. Prior to a 4-0 drubbing at Bayern Munich in their last away game in the Bundesliga, BVB had drawn at Eintracht Frankfurt, Freiburg and Schalke.
Hertha are in terrible form heading into this clash, having failed to win in five Bundesliga matches, while suffering four straight league defeats in the German top-flight. Poor defensive displays have not helped their chances of success of late, as they have now conceded at least two goals in three of their last four league matches.
Even home advantage has not helped Hertha pick up results in recent months, as they have lost four of their last six league games on home soil.
The home side has been prolific of late on home soil, scoring at least two goals in their last four home matches.
