Leicester City host Everton on Sunday at the King Power Stadium, a venue they have turned into an impenetrable fortress this season. The Foxes have taken 16 points from 18 at home and will fancy their chances of winning once more on their own turf.

Everton are in crisis as manager Marco Silva is increasingly likely to be sacked. Several candidates have emerged such as Jorge Jesus and Eddie Howe, but Everton’s search already shows the ridiculous state of the club.

The Toffees did win last season, 2-1, at the King Power Stadium but that was before Brendan Rodgers took the job at Leicester City. The Foxes are unbeaten in seven of their last 11 matches against Everton in all competitions. Just two of their five matches at home have turned out as victories, however.

Rodgers has no new injury issues at Leicester City and continues to have a fit squad. Jonny Evans suffered from cramp last weekend but should be passed fit for the fixture on Sunday. Matthew James remains out long-term.

Everton are missing Cuco Martina, Andre Gomes, and Jean-Philippe Gbamin due to their respective injuries. Silva could have Bernard and Fabian Delph back to full fitness. The duo has returned to training and could make the bench.

Leicester City will have to deal with new pressure on Sunday as they play over 24 hours after Liverpool host Brighton. If the Reds win, they will be 11 points ahead of Leicester City which could put pressure on the Foxes they have never experienced before.

The Premier League will have a round of matches in midweek and Leicester City could either be closer or further away from the Reds by the end of the first week of December.

Everton are winless in their last two matches in the league taking one point from six. They played out an effortless 2-0 loss at Goodison Park against relegation-threatened Norwich City last weekend.

The Toffees did win their last away match 2-1 against Southampton, which was their first victory on the road this season.

The Toffees have shipped goals galore on the road (10) and Leicester City could find the back of the net with ease. Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy has scored 12 goals this term for 39% of team’s scoring. He could get on the scoresheet once more this weekend.

Leicester City should ease past Everton and find holes in the visitors’ defence. The teams should combine for over 2.5 goals with both sides finding the back of the net. Eight of the last 11 matches between the teams in all competitions have seen over 2.5 goals and this one should too.
