Atalanta have just one point in Champions League Group C but can still save their campaign with two matches to go. Gian Piero Gasperini’s team must first start with a win at home against Dinamo Zagreb and hope Manchester City win against Shakhtar Donetsk.
La Dea have not had a great season in the Champions League. Their maiden campaign has been a struggle; however, if they win their final two group games and Dinamo Zagreb and Shakhtar Donetsk lose their final two matches, the Italians will go through to the knockout round.
Dinamo Zagreb are third in Group C thanks to goal difference. Although they are level on five points with Shakhtar Donetsk, they trail the Ukrainians due to head to head goal difference.
Atalanta visit Dinamo Zagreb on matchday 1 in the Champions League and lost 4-0. It was a shock defeat as the Italians were expected to do well against the Croatian side. Atalanta were down 3-0 by halftime.
La Dea should do better this time around but getting a win will still be difficult. Atalanta are winless in their last five matches in all competitions. Three of those games finished in draws including their 1-1 match against Manchester City. Atalanta did lose at the weekend to Juventus 3-1 in Bergamo.
Dinamo Zagreb go into the Tuesday night match in fine form. They are unbeaten in nine straight matches in all competitions. Their last defeat came in the Champions League against Manchester City, 2-0, on 1 October.
Striker Mislav Orsic continues to bang goals into the back of the net for the Croatian team. Orsic has scored 15 goals in all competitions with just one coming from the penalty spot. The striker has four goals in four Champions League matches. He could get on the scoresheet once more.
There were hopes from Atalanta’s camp that striker Duvan Zapata would play at the weekend. However, the striker who has tallied seven goals in all competitions did not make his return from injury. Leading scorer Luis Muriel (eight goals) only came on as a substitute.

Injuries have plagued Gasperini and his team and they should affect them once more on Tuesday night. The manager may have to alter his side against Dinamo Zagreb which could help the Croatians to victory once more.
Dinamo Zagreb are flying high on a nine-match unbeaten run. Expect the Croatians to get another big win on Tuesday night with over 2.5 goals being scored once more between the teams.
