Paris Saint-Germain host Lille on Friday night to kick off the Ligue 1 weekend. Thomas Tuchel’s team has had its hiccups this season and are only eight points ahead of second-place Marseille.
Lille have returned to reality after last season’s second-place finish. Christopher Galtier’ team are fifth in Ligue 1 after 13 matchdays and 11 points behind the league leaders. Consistency has not been on Lille’s side this term. The Great Danes have won just five times in 17 matches in all competitions.
Their last six Ligue 1 games have seen just one victory, which came against Bordeaux 3-0. Lille did defeat Paris Saint-Germain last April, 5-1, at home and will hope they can once again embarrass the Qatar oil rich Parisians.
Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar is on the comeback trail from his latest injury. However, the Brazilian is unlikely to be risked in Ligue 1. Paris Saint-Germain are gearing up for a headline grabbing Champions League fixture against Real Madrid next week and Neymar will be saved for the glamour tie.

The Parc des Prince club has picked up 15 of 18 points at home this term. Their only blemish was a 2-0 loss to Reims that was incredibly uncharacteristic of the club. Since then, they have won back to back league games by a combined 8-0 scoreline.
Lille have the best home points total in Ligue 1; however, their away record is appalling. Lille have collected a mere two points on their travels. They have not won on the road as yet scoring four goals and conceding nine times.
The Great Danes have lost back to back fixtures away from home with both ending in 2-1 scorelines. Galtier now has a tough task of trying to get a point at the Parc des Prince and reel in the league leaders.
Paris Saint-Germain average 2.5 goals per home match in all competitions. More impressively, they concede an average of 0.22 goals per game at the Parc des Prince. Just two goals have been allowed at home in eight matches.
Lille may have got a surprise win last season but Paris Saint-Germain are undefeated in nine of their last 10 games against the Great Danes in all competitions. Eight of those 10 matches finished with the Parisians winning.
With Lille in such poor away form, Paris Saint-Germain should have no issues with gliding to a win. The two clubs should combine for over 2.5 goals as Paris Saint-Germain win at home.
