The Premier League resumes on Saturday following the international fixtures and we have several matches to enjoy. One of which takes place on Saturday afternoon at Goodison Park as Everton host Norwich City.

This is an important game for both teams as they aim to move up the table. Everton begin the weekend in 15th place with 14 points from their 12 games played. A win could see them move into the top half of the table whereas Norwich City are hoping to move off the bottom off the Premier League with a win.

Everton come into the game having won 2 and drawn one of their last 3 matches in all competitions. The Toffees defeated Watford 2-0 at home in the League Cup before picking up a point in a 1-1 draw at home against Tottenham Hotspur. Prior to the international break, Everton defeated Southampton 2-1 away from home and that was their first win in 3 Premier League matches.

Trends show Everton have won only 2 of their last 8 Premier League games, with the other victory coming at home against West Ham United on the 19th October.

However, Everton like playing at home and have won 8 of their last 11 matches in all competitions at Goodison Park. They have tasted defeat only twice in their last 12 on home soil and have kept a clean sheet in 8 of those 12 games. Under 2.5 goals have been scored in 9 of Everton's last 12 home matches in Premier League.

Having started the season with some promise, Norwich City have been on a dreadful run of form. The Canaries have failed to win any of their last 7 Premier League matches, losing 6 and drawing one to pick up just a single point over that period. The point came away against Bournemouth in a 0-0 draw but there have been defeats at home against Aston Villa, Manchester United and Watford, the latter of which was a very disappointing result.

Away form shows Norwich City have yet to win a match on the road in the Premier League this season. They have lost 5 of their 6 away Premier League games and to fail to score a single goal in each of the last 5. Norwich City have also kept just one clean sheet away from home in the Premier League this season.

Team news and Everton are still without the injured duo of Andre Gomes and Jean-Philippe Gbamin. They also have doubts over the fitness of Fabian Delph, Cenk Tosun and Bernard.

Norwich City are expected to be without Christoph Zimmermann, Grant Hanley and Timm Klose for the foreseeable future. Jamal Lewis and Josip Drmic Doubts having been suffering from a knee and hamstring injury respectively.

Everton will be viewing this game as the perfect opportunity to pick up 3 points and move up the Premier League. It is going to be a tough afternoon for Norwich City who are struggling away from home and Everton could win this game and keep a clean sheet in the process.
