Although Huddersfield Town’s impressive 7-match unbeaten sequence came to an end last time out in the Championship with a 3-1 loss away at high-flying Preston North End before the international break, Danny Cowley’s side will be in confident mood ahead of this Saturday’s clash with Birmingham City.

When Cowley took over at the John Smith’s Stadium, Huddersfield were languishing in the lower reaches of the Championship, sitting second from bottom with just 1 point to their name after the first 6 matches of the season.

Following the sacking of former boss, Jan Siewart, Cowley had the seemingly unenviable task of lifting The Terriers out of the doldrums but the Yorkshire club have responded in positive fashion and have collected recent important wins over Stoke City, Hull City, Barnsley and Brentford.

This impressive run of results have lifted Huddersfield out of the bottom three and into 19th place in the Championship, and they bring a 4-match unbeaten run at their John Smith’s Stadium into this upcoming clash against Birmingham City.

Onto the visitors, and Birmingham City were handed a slightly surprising 1-0 defeat at St Andrews to 7th placed Fulham just ahead of the international break, and they now face a tricky trip up to west Yorkshire this Saturday to face one of the current in-form teams in the Championship in the shape of Huddersfield Town.

Birmingham still remain in the relative comfort of a mid-table position of 13th place in the second tier, but results away from home have largely eluded caretaker-manager Pep Clotet’s side as they’ve suffered 6 defeats out of their 8 matches on their travels to date this term.

Although Birmingham have recorded seemingly unlikely wins on the road at Brentford and Charlton Athletic so far this season, The Blues have lost their last 4 matches on the trot on the road at Derby County, Wigan Athletic, Leeds United and Cardiff City.

To be fair, Birmingham have been in each and every one of these last 4 defeats and were perhaps a little unlucky to be on the losing side in each match but the fact remains that Birmingham have managed to register just 4 away wins from their last 15 matches on their travels in the Championship.

A resurgent Huddersfield Town outfit therefore look the more likely to bag the points here but using the draw no bet option (AH0) on the hosts appears to be the best play here.
