Hoffenheim secured a fifth straight league win with a dramatic late penalty. Jhon Cordoba put Koln ahead in the first half, but Sargis Adamyan levelled to scoreline just after the break. However, Jurgen Locadia’s 98th minute spot-kick snatched the victory for the visitors.

    Saturday’s Round-Up

Timo Werner made it five goals in two Bundesliga matches as he helped Leipzig beat Hertha 4-2. Maximilian Mittelstadt and Davie Selke got on the scoresheet for Hertha, while Marcel Sabitzer and Kevin Kampl completed the scoring for the visitors.

Rouwen Hennings scored a hat-trick for Fortuna, but his goals weren’t enough to see his side beat Schalke. Goals from Daniel Caligiuri, Ozan Kabak and Suat Serdar rescued a point for the hosts.

Union Berlin claimed an impressive away win at Mainz. A Daniel Brosinski own goal was added to by a brace from Sebastian Andersson. Two late goals from Mainz made it a nervy ending for Union, but the club from the capital held on to claim their third victory in five top-flight games.

Philipp Max scored the only goal of the game as Augsburg clinched a vital win over Paderborn. The home side still have just one win to their name this season, while Augsburg sit just above the relegation zone in 15th.

Bayern hammered Dortmund 4-0 in Der Klassiker. Robert Lewandowski’s remarkable goal-scoring run continues as he netted twice, while goals from Serge Gnabry and Mats Hummels (OG) condemned Dortmund to a disappointing defeat against their great rivals.

    Super Sunday

Monchengladbach are now four points clear at the top of the table following their 4-1 thrashing of Werder. Ramy Bensebaini and Patrick Herrmann each bagged a brace, while Leonardo Bittencourt netted a late consolation for the visitors.

Goals from Karim Bellarabi and Paulinho sealed a much-needed win for Bayer Leverkusen at Wolfsburg. Leverkusen leapfrogged Wolfsburg with the win, leaving the Wolves without a win in their last four league matches.

A Nils Peterson strike was enough to hand Freiburg all three points against Frankfurt. Late drama saw David Abraham and Vicenzo Grifo sent off in added-time. Gelson Fernandes also saw red in the first half following two yellow cards.
