Group E leaders Napoli host Red Bull Salzburg on Tuesday night. The Italian side are unbeaten in the Champions League this season, but will be wary of the Austrian’s goal-threat.
Red Bull Salzburg have scored 11 goals in three European matches this season. However, they have only managed to pick up three points from their opening three games in Group E.
Salzburg kicked off their campaign with a stunning 6-2 win over Belgian side Genk. Erling Braut Haaland scored a first-half hat-trick, while Hwang Hee-chan, Dominik Szoboszlai and Andreas Ulmer also got on the scoresheet.

The Austrian club then scored three goals against Liverpool on Matchday 2 but eventually lost 4-3.
Last time out, a brace from Haaland wasn’t enough to prevent his team from losing 3-2 to Tuesday’s opponent Napoli.
Salzburg have also been scoring goals for fun in the Austrian Bundesliga. They have netted 53 times in just 13 league games so far (at an average of just over 4 goals per game). They are undefeated in the league this season and boast a record of W11/D2/L0.
Napoli head into this clash having lost 2-1 to Roma in their previous match. Arkadiusz Milik’s fifth goal in four games gave the Naples outfit hope of a comeback, but it was a case of too little, too late.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side have slipped to 7th in the Serie A table after winning just one of their last five league games. They have scored an impressive 21 league goals but have been less than impressive in defence, conceding 15.
Still, Napoli’s defensive record in the Champions League has been excellent this season. They have conceded just twice in their three European matches.
The Italian club defeated reigning champions Liverpool on Matchday 1 before registering a goalless draw with Genk in round two.
A Dries Mertens brace and a Lorenzo Insigne strike handed Napoli all three points against Red Bull in the reverse fixture. They will be confident of beating the Austrian’s this time around, especially considering their home advantage.
Napoli look set to do the double over Salzburg this season. Despite the Austrian’s outstanding goal-scoring record, the Italians possess a far stronger squad.
