Reading’s revival under new manager, Mark Bowen, continued last time out in the Championship when they held 8th placed QPR to a 2-2 draw away form home at Loftus Road.

The Royals will be fully rested ahead of this clash against Millwall as last weekend’s match with Nottingham Forest was postponed.

Prior to that valuable point at Loftus Road, Reading had secured what could prove to be a vital 1-0 home win over high-flying Preston North End, so the Berkshire outfit will be heading into this Saturday’s encounter with Millwall in a confident frame of mind.

These two recent positive results have helped lift Reading out of the bottom three for the time being as the hosts sit just one position above the relegation zone, but their home record stands at a disappointing  2 wins and 4 defeats, so there’s still plenty of work ahead for Reading.

Reading forward, Puscas (3 goals), looks the most likely for the hosts here.

Whilst the straight win still represents a precarious option, the goals market looks the best  play as 3 of Reading’s 6 home matches have resulted with both teams scoring.

Onto Millwall, and The Lions have picked up their game in recent weeks as the visitors have suffered just 1 defeat out of their last 6 matches which is a significant improvement upon their previous stretch of matches which saw the London club endure a 6-match run without a win.

However, Gary Rowett’s side have picked up recent wins against Leeds United 2-1 and Stoke City 2-0 which were both at The Den, but away from home, Millwall are still without a win in this season’s Championship, so they too should be avoided for the straight win here.

But fear not, the goal markets again come to the rescue for this clash as 5 of Millwall’s 7 matches away from home have also resulted with both teams scoring, and Millwall will no doubt be keen to open their account on their travels sooner rather than later.

Millwall’s goal threats are likely to come from midfielder Jed Wallace (5 goals) along with forwards Bradshaw (6 goals) and Smith (3 goals).

Goals have also featured in previous encounters between these two teams as 3 of the last 5 meetings have seen both teams score.
