After a poor start to the Bundesliga campaign, Hoffenheim have suddenly found form. The summer loss of coaching prodigy Julian Nagelsmann was never going to be easy to cope with.
However, they now seem to have found their feet under new boss Alfred Schreuder, winning their last three matches in Germany’s top-flight. A home game against struggling Paderborn on Friday night looks like the perfect opportunity to continue their current positive run of form.
The home sides recent upturn in form has coincided with an improvement in their attacking displays, as they have now scored at least two goals in their last three league outings, including in a 3-2 win at Hertha Berlin last time out.

Hoffenheim could not have enjoyed a more inconsistent run of form on home soil of late in the Bundesliga of late, as they have won three and lost three of their last six league games at the PreZero Arena. Their recent home games have been relatively high-scoring, with at least two goals scored in nine of their last ten Bundesliga games.
Paderborn have made a poor start to life back in the German top-flight and are currently bottom of the table. The minnows have picked up just four points from their opening nine league matches.
However, there was a major positive for Steffen Baumgart’s team last time out, as they ended a five-game losing run in the Bundesliga by recording a 2-0 home win over Fortuna Dusseldorf. The game also ended a terrible run of defensive displays for Paderborn, as they had conceded at least twice in each of those aforementioned five straight defeats.
Unsurprisingly considering their small points total, Paderborn have been poor on their travels in the German top-flight, failing to win in five away matches, while suffering four defeats in the process.
Forebet predicts that Paderborn will experience more away-day misery with Hoffenheim grabbing a victory in a low-scoring encounter.
