The final match of the weekend in the English Premier League sees Tottenham Hotspur travel to Goodison park to take on Everton. Both Marco Silva and Mauricio Pochettino are under pressure coming into this game and really need a win.

Everton start the weekend sitting 16th in the Premier League with 10 points from their 10 matches played. Tottenham Hotspur also find themselves in the bottom half of the table they are in 11th place, with only 2 points more than their opponents.

Everton come into this game having defeated Watford 2-0 at home in the League Cup on Tuesday night. It was a much needed win for The Toffees who had won only 2 of their previous 7 matches in all competitions, with one of those victories coming in the League Cup against Sheffield Wednesday.

Trends show Everton have won just one of their last 6 Premier League matches, losing each of the other 5 games. The only win came at home against West Ham United and there have been defeats at home against Sheffield United and Manchester City plus away to Bournemouth, Burnley and Brighton and Hove Albion.

However, Everton have lost only 2 of their last 10 home matches in all competitions and have kept a clean sheet in 8 of their last 11 on home soil.

Tottenham Hotspur return to Merseyside for the second week running following their 2-1 defeat at the hands of Liverpool last weekend. Spurs took an early lead in the game and went in at half time leading 1-0 but could not hold on in the second half. Things could have been different if they had taken a great chance just after half time but the ball hit the cross bar.

That result means Tottenham Hotspur have won only one of their last 5 games in all competitions. That victory came at home against Crvena Zvezda and was a good 5-0 win. However, they have failed to win any of their last 3 Premier League matches, losing to Brighton and Hove Albion and Liverpool away and being held to a draw at home by Watford.

Spurs have lost each of their last 3 away games in the Premier League and have won just one of their last 13 matches on the road in all competitions.

Team news and Everton are without the injured Jean-Philippe Gbamin plus have doubts over the fitness of Bernard, Cenk Tosun and Yerry Mina.

Tottenham Hotspur travel without Hugo Lloris who is injured and Danny Rose who is suspended. They also have doubts over Erik Lamela who has a thigh injury.

This is another tough assignment for Spurs following their match at Liverpool last weekend. Everton may not be in the best of form overall, but they have a decent home record and could come out on top in this game, winning with both teams scoring.
