It seems that normal service has been resumed in the Spanish top-flight, as Barcelona are once again firing on all cylinders. The Catalan giants can return to the top of La Liga on Tuesday night, as Ernesto Valverde’s side host Real Valladolid at the Camp Nou.
The reigning champions experienced a slightly inconsistent start to their campaign in the Primera Liga, which saw them fall off the pace at the top of the table.
However, the return to fitness of key forward duo Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez has seen the Blaugrana record four straight league wins, scoring at least twice in their last three games, while also keeping three clean sheets in the process.
Valverde’s side enjoyed the weekend off, but they would move two points clear of surprise leaders Granada with a victory over Valladolid. The champions have also played a game fewer than all the other teams in La Liga’s top five.

Apart from their current form, there are other factors that point to a Barcelona win in this clash, such as the fact that the home side has beaten the visitors in ten of the last 11 meetings in all competitions.
As is now the norm with the Catalan giants, they have been prolific on home soil in the Spanish top-flight on home soil of late, having scored at least twice in nine of their last ten matches at the Nou Camp in La Liga.
The visitors head to Catalonia on the back of a five-game unbeaten run in the Spanish top-flight. The unbeaten run has been enough to see them climb to eighth-place in La Liga.
On the flip-side though, Valladolid have won just two of their last nine matches in the Spanish top-flight. They have also won just once in five away games in La Liga.
Nothing points to a shock away win here and Forebet predicts Barcelona will record a victory in a high-scoring match to move back to the top of La Liga.
