Watford host Bournemouth on Saturday, and Quique Sancez Flores will be looking for his first win since he was reappointed as manager at Vicarage Road.

The Hornets are still the only team in the Premier League without a victory this season, and they sit rock bottom of the table as a result.

However, they come into this match on the back of consecutive league draws, so you have to feel that a win is just around the corner.

Watford came within minutes of beating Tottenham Hotspur in their previous match. Abdoulaye Doucoure gave Watford the lead, only for Dele Alli to score a controversial late goal.

Not only are Watford the joint-lowest scorers in the Premier League (5), no other team has conceded more goals than the Hornets (21). They have a record of W0/D4/L5 so far.

Bournemouth also drew their last match. Despite registering 11 attempts at home against Norwich, the Cherries could only manage two shots on target, and the game finished goalless.

Eddie Howe’s men have been very inconsistent this term, and find themselves 10th in the table with a record of W3/D3/L3.

Bournemouth have a goal difference of 0 after scoring 13 and conceding 13. Howe will like the fact that his team can score goals, but he will want to fix their defensive frailties.

The overall head-to-head record between the two teams is evenly poised. Watford have beaten Bournemouth on 40 occasions, while the Cherries have claimed 38 wins in this fixture.

However, Watford have not beaten Bournemouth since August 2017, and the Cherries come into this match as favourites.

Remarkably, eight of the last eleven meetings between the two teams have ended in a draw.

After recently returning from injury, Watford forward Danny Welbeck looks set for another lengthy spell on the sidelines.

The former England forward went down with less than a minute on the clock in Watford’s last match, so he is likely to feature on Saturday.

As for Bournemouth, midfielder Jefferson Lerma could return to the starting line-up, while Dan Gosling, David Brooks, Junior Stanislas and Charlie Daniels are all unavailable for selection due to injury.

Watford’s winless run looks set to continue this weekend. Bournemouth should return to winnings ways.

Forebet predicts an away victory for the Cherries, with the added bonus of a clean sheet.
