Real Madrid head into Tuesday’s Group A clash with Galatasaray on the back of their first defeat of the season.

The Spanish side lost 1-0 to Mallorca in La Liga on Saturday and will be eager to return to winnings ways in the Champions League.

Real Madrid currently find themselves bottom of their group after picking up just one point from their opening two European matches this season.

They were hammered 3-0 by PSG on Matchday 1, before only managing to pick up a draw with Club Brugge in the previous round.

The Belgian side went into half-time with a two-goal advantage, but second-half goals from Sergio Ramos and Casemiro rescued a point for Madrid.

With a record of W5/D3/L1 in La Liga, Real Madrid now sit second in the table after their defeat to Mallorca. Barcelona have moved a point above their bitter rivals.

Galatasaray have also managed to pick up just one point from their opening two Champions League games this season.

The Turkish outfit played out a goalless draw with Club Brugge in their tournament opener, but lost 1-0 to PSG on Matchday 2.

The means Galatasaray are level on points with Real Madrid. However, they do have a superior goal difference.

Things aren’t going so well for Galatasaray domestically. They are fifth in the Turkish Super Lig, four points off top spot.

Despite only losing one top-flight match this term (W3/D4/L1), the Istanbul club have drawn too many matches.

With that being said, they would undoubtedly be happy to come away with a point against Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Galatasaray are without a win in their least seven matches in this competition and have lost each of their last five matches against Spanish opposition in the Champions League.

In fact, Real Madrid thrashed the Turkish side 6-1 when these two teams faced each other in 2013.

Gareth Bale, Luka Modric, Marco Asencio and Nacho are all injured for the visitors, while Eden Hazard is likely to be restored to the starting line-up.

Galatasaray will be hoping star striker Radamel Falcao will overcome his injury in time to face the Spanish giants.

Despite their shaky start to the campaign, Real Madrid are expected to get back on track in Turkey.

Forebet predicts that the away side will come out on top, while a clean sheet is also on the cards.
