On Sunday evening, Schalke will look to continue their stellar recent run in the German Bundesliga, when they visit highly inconsistent Hoffenheim.
The home side has not started life without former boss Julian Nagelsmann in a great fashion, taking just eight points from their first seven games in the Bundesliga under new boss Alfred Schreuder.

Another problem Hoffenheim have had in recent seasons is struggling for results on home soil, as they have lost four of their last five home games in the German top-flight. Conceding too many goals has again been the crux of the problem, as they have conceded at least twice in all four of those recent home defeats.
After a shaky start under their coach David Wagner, Schalke 04 are now thriving. The team from Gelsenkirchen are five games unbeaten in the German top-flight. However, a 1-1 home draw against Koln last time out did hamper their momentum slightly, as it ended a four-match winning run in the Bundesliga.
A big factor in Wagner’s team’s recent improvement is that they have found their scoring boots, scoring at least twice in four of their last five matches.
Another positive for the visitors is their recent away form on their travels, as they are unbeaten in seven matches on the road, recording four wins and three draws.
