Everton travel to Burnley on Saturday and the Toffees are in desperate need of a win.

Marco Silva’s men have lost their last three top-flight games and have slipped to 15th in the Premier League table as a result.

Everton have won just two of their seven league matches so far – conceding 12 goals in the process – and the team has looked disjointed in the early stages of the season.

On the other hand, Burnley have made a promising start to the 2019/20 campaign and are unbeaten in three league games heading into this match.

The Clarets have lost to Liverpool and Arsenal in the Premier League this season, while picking up comfortable wins over Norwich and Southampton.

Burnley twice came from behind to secure a share of the points at Villa Park in their previous match, so manager Sean Dyche is likely to be happy with how his team responded last time out.

Strikers Ashely Barnes and Chris Wood have both been in fantastic form for Burnley, with Barnes netting 4 in 7 and Wood scoring 3 in 8 appearances.

As for Everton, Dominic Calvert-Lewin is their top scorer with 4 goals to his name this term, while new signing Moise Kean is yet to find the back of the net despite making 8 appearances for the club.

Marco Silva doesn’t seem to know his best starting eleven at the moment, and this has led to heavy rotation of the club’s forward players.

Everton could be without Theo Walcott as the former England winger recovers from a blow to the head which forced him off the pitch early on against Man City. Midfielder Andre Gomes is nearing a return following a rib injury.

It’s unclear whether Jack Cork will feature for Burnley after he went off at half-time in their last match with a shoulder problem. Danny Drinkwater is still unavailable for selection.

Interestingly, since the two teams started playing each other in the Premier League in 2009, there hasn’t been a draw in 10 matches.

Burnley have picked up 4 wins in that time while Everton have claimed 6 victories.

Everton beat Burnley home and away last season, but the Clarets look more likely to pick up all three points this time around.

Burnley are the in-form side in this tie and are set to make their home advantage count on Saturday.

Forebet predicts a high-scoring Burnley win, with both teams likely to score.
