On Tuesday evening, La Liga’s surprise-package Granada visit Real Valladolid, as the home side attempts to continue their good start to the Spanish top-flight campaign.
After kicking off their La Liga campaign with a 2-1 away win against Real Betis, Real Valladolid have now failed to win in four matches in the Spanish top-flight.
Their last four matches in La Liga have all produced under 2.5 goals. In fact, nine of their previous ten matches in the Spanish top-flight dating back to last season have produced under 2.5 goals.
The home side’s results so far leave them with just five points from as many matches in the Spanish top-flight.
Real Valladolid’s home form has hindered their chances of pushing up the Spanish La Liga table, as they have recorded just two wins in their last ten league outings at Estadio Municipal Jose Zorrilla.
Valladolid have also won just two of their last six meetings with the visitors in the league, with their last two meetings coming in the Segunda in season 2017/18.
Granada failed to win their opening two La Liga games, but have since recorded three straight wins, scoring at least twice and not conceding in the three victories. Last time out they recorded a famous 2-0 victory over reigning two-time champions Barcelona.
The win over Ernesto Valverde’s side has sent belief through the roof at the Andalusian club. Everybody connected with the club will now expect their team to record a victory and maintain their recent good form at Valladolid.
Granada are unbeaten in three away matches in La Liga. However, prior to this season, the visitors had failed to win in 18 matches on their travels in the Spanish top-flight. Diego Martinez’s side has been impressive in attack on their travels this season, scoring at least twice in all three away games this season.
Forebet predicts that Granada will continue their good form in this clash by recording a victory in a high-scoring clash.
