The new Bundesliga campaign is just three gameweeks old. Some teams have started the new season like a runaway train in the case of RB Leipzig.
However, at the opposite end of the spectrum, Mainz and Hertha Berlin have endured poor starts to the new campaign. The two teams meet at the Opel Arena on Saturday afternoon, as they seek their first wins of the 2019/20 season.
In the case of the home side, they are seeking their first point of the season after losing all three of their opening league matches against Freiburg, Monchengladbach and last time out Bayern Munich.
The main concerns this season for the home side has been their sieve-like defence, as all three opponents in the Bundesliga have managed to find the net at least three times.
However, Mainz will be looking to rediscover the positive late-season home form of last season. The aforementioned defeat by Monchengladbach ended a four-game unbeaten run at the Opel Arena for the home side, consisting of three wins and a draw.

Due to a number of teams starting the new season in less than stellar form, a win could well shoot Mainz right up the table. Hertha look like the ideal opponents for the home side to achieve that first objective.
Hertha kicked off the season with a highly creditable 2-2 draw at reigning champions Bayern Munich. However, it has gone wrong for the visitors since the opener at the Allianz Arena.
They have suffered two straight 3-0 defeats against Wolfsburg and last time Schalke. Like Mainz, their defence has been woeful so far this season, so this could be a good match-up.
Hertha’s recent away history does not suggest that they will pick up their first win of the season, as they have won just once on their travels in eight Bundesliga matches.
Forebet predicts that both teams search for a maiden league win of the season will go on and that will game will finish in a low-scoring draw.
