Real Madrid to continue unbeaten run versus Levante

Real Madrid to continue unbeaten run versus Levante
    13/09/19 2711

Real Madrid host Levante at the Santiago Bernabeu in La Liga’ early clash on Saturday. Los Blancos are unbeaten this season in La Liga, but they need to record a victory after back to back draws.

Zinedine Zidane’s team are one of six La Liga teams to be unbeaten. Real Madrid have been shaky in defence this term conceding four goals in three matches. They do average 2.0 goals per match with two of their three fixtures ending in over 2.5 goals.

Levante have collected six points from nine and sit one point ahead of Real Madrid in the La Liga table. After losing their opening match 1-0 to Alaves, Levante defeated Villarreal and Real Valladolid. Levante have tallied four goals in three matches while conceding just two times.

Manager Paco Lopez’s team recorded a 2-0 clean sheet victory against Real Valladolid in their match prior to the international break. Levante famously won at the Santiago Bernabeu last season 2-1. The Granotas played Real Madrid off the park as the hosts put on a pitiful display.

Real Madrid were able to claim a 2-1 victory of their own in their second match of the season against Levante. Real Madrid are unbeaten in 11 of their last 12 matches against Levante.

The Granotas’ win in the Santiago Bernabeu will be long remembered and supporters will hope it can occur again on Saturday. Levante’s only road match of the season did end in a loss to Alaves, 1-0. Real Madrid’s lone home fixture ended in a 1-1 draw versus Real Valladolid.

Luka Jovic could be given a start against Levante as Zidane seeks goals. He hasn’t scored in three appearances since arriving from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer. Jovic could be paired with Karim Benzema who has scored twice in three matches.

Eden Hazard still may not make his Real Madrid debut. The forward hasn’t appeared this season for Real Madrid due to injury. This week it was revealed that Hazard still isn’t completing full training sessions with the squad.

James Rodriguez didn’t complete full training sessions early in the week and may miss out. Isco is still injured and is most likely to sit out Saturday’s match making Real Madrid’s squad quite thin.

Can lightning strike twice at the Santiago Bernabeu? Levante have won just once in their last 12 matches against Real Madrid. The Granotas will struggle to get a second straight win against Real Madrid.

Expect both teams to score with Real Madrid just edging out Levante at home this time around. The match will see over 2.5 goals scored with Los Blancos claiming a victory.
