Bosnia-Herzegovina have made a mixed start to their Euro 2020 qualification campaign. However, a home game with Liechtenstein on Thursday night gives Robert Prosinecki’s team the perfect chance to get back to winning ways.
The two teams have only ever met twice in the international game, with Bosnia recording wins of 4-1 and 8-1 in qualifying for World Cup 2014.
The home side opened their campaign with a win against Armenia and a draw against Greece. However, they have lost their last two qualifiers against Finland and Italy.
The two straight qualification defeats have seen Bosnia-Herzegovina fall five points behind second place, which would mean qualification for the European Championships proper.

However, the home side has a poor recent record in qualification for European Championships, winning just one of their last five qualifiers.
Bosnia-Herzegovina have at least been difficult to beat on home soil in European Championship qualification, as they are unbeaten in their last seven matches, recording four wins and three draws dating back to qualifying for Euro 2016.
Liechtenstein have struggled to avoid defeat in the international game of late, as they have suffered defeat in seven of their last eight matches in all internationals. Those seven defeats include the visitors last four qualifiers. The visitors have also conceded at least two goals in all of their qualifiers so far while failing to score in all four matches.
In fact, Liechtenstein have now failed to win in ten European Championship qualifiers, suffering nine defeats in the process. Unsurprisingly, the visitors have also conceded at least twice in their last eight qualifiers.
Liechtenstein were always going to find it difficult to pick up points from this group. A trip to Zenica is unlikely to improve their poor recent record in qualification.
Forebet predicts that Bosnia-Herzegovina will record a comfortable victory in a high-scoring clash.
