Trends show Atletico Madrid are undefeated in their last eight home La Liga games and they have kept 10 clean sheets in their last thirteen on home soil. Atletico Madrid have seen under 2.5 goals in thirteen of their last seventeen La Liga matches.
Eibar are still searching for their first win in La Liga this season. They started the campaign with a 2-1 defeat at newly promoted Mallorca. Eibar conceded an early goal and despite levelling the score on the 57th minute an own goal settled the game with 15 minutes remaining. In their second match of the season, Eibar travelled to Osasuna and picked up a point in a 0-0 draw.
Trends show we should not have been surprised by Eibar’s start to the season and they have won only one of their last seventeen matches in La Liga. They have seen under 2.5 goals scored in seven of their last nine league games and if you want to see goals, you are advised to look elsewhere.
Team news and Atletico Madrid are without the injured Sime Vrsaljko. They also have doubts over Angel Correa and Alvaro Morata. Diego Costa could return following a groin injury and would be a welcome addition up-front.
Eibar will travel without Esteban Burgos and Jose Angel who are struggling with a thigh and hamstring injury respectively.
It is difficult to know where Eibar are going to score their goals from in this game. They could make it tough for the hosts to break them down but expect Atletico Madrid to win this game without conceding a goal.
