Manchester City face Brighton & Hove Albion at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

The reigning champions are unbeaten so far this season with two wins and one draw while Brighton’s unbeaten start ended in the previous round as they were beaten by Southampton.

The Seagulls opened their 2019/20 account with an impressive 3-0 win away at Watford before a draw with West Ham United in Round 2.

However, they were beaten 2-0 last time out and are not expected to trouble Manchester City this weekend.

City beat West Ham 5-0 on the opening day and after a 2-2 draw with Tottenham, they returned to winning ways with victory at Bournemouth.

A goal from Raheem Sterling and a Sergio Aguero brace secured a comfortable 3-1 win over the Cherries.

Sterling is the joint top scorer in the Premier League with 5 goals in the first three matches while Aguero has four goals to his name.

Both forwards have been extremely clinical this season. 7 of Sterling’s 8 shots have found the target and Aguero has registered 4 shots on target from 5 attempts.

On the other hand, Brighton have scored just four Premier League goals so far, with none of their players scoring more than once.

Brighton will be without Florin Andone for their trip to the Etihad following his red card against Southampton in the previous round.

The Romanian was sent off after just half an hour following a horrific tackle which has resulted in a suspension.

Gabriel Jesus is set to miss Saturday’s match for City as he recovers from a hamstring injury sustained prior to the match with Bournemouth.

John Stones could make a return to first team action after he missed City’s last game while Benjamin Mendy and Leroy Sane remain unavailable for selection with long-term injuries.

The last four Premier League meetings between Man City and Brighton have ended in defeat for the Seagulls.

City have conceded just twice in that time while finding the net on 11 occasions, and this trend looks set to continue on Saturday.

Brighton last beat Man City in the league back in 1989 when the two teams were competing in English football’s second-tier.

Both teams have come a long way since then, but it is the team from Manchester that has four Premier League titles in the last eight seasons.

Forebet predicts a comfortable Man City win, with Brighton managing to get on the score sheet.
