    Saturday’s Round-Up

Arsenal hosted Burnley in the weekend’s early kick-off, and Alexandre Lacazette gave the Gunners the lead after just 13 minutes. Ashley Barnes leveled for Burnley before half-time but a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang strike just after the hour gave Arsenal all three points.

Liverpool survived a scare against Southampton at St. Mary’s. Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino gave the Reds a 2-0 lead before an Adrien howler gifted Danny Ings a goal in the 83rd minute. Ings then missed a sitter to rescue a point for the Saints and Liverpool held on to claim the victory.

Javier Hernadez put West Ham in the lead on 61 minutes against Brighton but a Leandro Trossard strike just 4 minutes later ensured the Seagulls picked up a point against the Hammers.

An early Bernard goal was enough to give Everton victory over Watford while a Teemu Pukki hat-trick sealed a fine victory for Norwich against Newcastle.

Bournemouth were 2-0 up after just 12 minutes at Villa Park. Goals from Joshua King and Harry Wilson gave the Cherries the lead, and despite a Douglas Luiz wonder goal, the visitors came away with the points.

In Saturday’s evening match, Man City took the lead through Raheem Sterling but Erik Lamela leveled for Spurs moments later. Following goals from Sergio Aguero and Lucas Moura – with his first touch of the match – the points were destined to be shared.

However, Man City thought they had won the match in injury time after Gabriel Jesus put the ball in the back of the net. Following a VAR referral, the goal was ruled out for a handball in the build-up and the match finished 2-2.

    Super Sunday

A John Lundstram goal just after half-time against Crystal Palace was enough to ensure that Sheffield United clinched their first victory since returning to the top-flight.

Mason Mount gave Chelsea the lead against Leicester in Sunday’s late kick-off but Wilfred Ndidi equalised in the second-half; making up for his earlier error to rescue a point for the Foxes.

    Monday Night Football

Wolves hosted Man Utd in the final match of Round 2. Anthony Martial gave United the lead following a well-worked move from the visitors. Ruben Neves then scored a magical long-range effort before Paul Pogba missed a penalty to keep the score at 1-1.
