There is an interesting battle developing at the top of the Norwegian Eliteserien for top spot with just under half the season remaining. There is just three points separating top of the table Molde, from second-place Bodo/Glimt and third-place Odd.
Bodo/Glimt are in fact just a point behind the league leaders and have the chance to move to the top of the Norwegian top-flight table on Wednesday night, as they visit Kristiansund.
The visitors have been in dominant form of late in the Eliteserien winning six of their last seven league outings while scoring at least twice in all six wins.
Their recent scoring prowess may not come as much of a surprise, as only leaders Molde have scored more than Bodo-Glimt’s 38 goals this season.
Although a number of players have contributed to their attacking efforts this season, Swedish striker Amor Layouni has been the most prolific, scoring nine times in the Norwegian top-flight this season.
The visitor's form has not quite been as consistent on their travels in the Norwegian top-flight. However, they have recorded three wins from four on their travels, while again scoring at least two goals in the three wins, which is not a terrible record.
The home side has experienced an inconsistent league campaign so far this season. They currently sit seventh in the Eliteserien, after winning six, drawing five and losing five of their 16 league games this season.
They are currently ten points off the European spots in the table, so will need a dramatic improvement of results in the next few months for a top-three finish. Kristiansund do head into this clash unbeaten in three games, though. However, they have won just once in seven league outings.
Forebet predicts that Bodo/Glimt’s recent good form will continue and that the visitors will record a victory in a high-scoring encounter.
