On Sunday afternoon, Rangers welcome Hibernian to Ibrox in the SPL, as the home side attempt to make it two wins out of two in the Scottish Premiership this season.
In truth, Rangers have had difficulty overcoming Hibs in recent campaigns, with four of the last six meetings between the pair in the SPL finishing in draws. Both sides have also recorded a win each in that run.
Rangers kicked off their top-flight campaign with a 2-1 victory over Kilmarnock. It was ironic, as the home side suffered a defeat by the same scoreline at Kilmarnock in the final game of last season. The defeat against Killie is the only time the Gers have not won in the SPL in eight games, dating back to last season.
Steven Gerrard’s side has been pretty potent in attack during that strong run of games, scoring at least twice in six of their last eight league outings.
One of the keys to last season’s second-place finish for Rangers was their form at Ibrox, as the home side are currently unbeaten in 11 matches on home soil, winning their last four home games of last season. Rangers also had an impressive home record in the Scottish top-flight, keeping four straight clean sheets.
Hibs finished fifth in the SPL last season after a poor run of form towards the end of the campaign. A 1-0 win on the opening day of this season against St, Mirren ended a five-match winless run for the visitors in the league.
Paul Heckingbottom’s team will be looking to continue their positive momentum in Glasgow. Hibs have an inconsistent recent away record, though, losing their last two games on their travels, including a 1-0 defeat at Ibrox.
Forebet are backing Rangers to record a comfortable win in a high-scoring clash to stay in touch with bitter-rivals and champions Celtic.
