AIK Fotboll played a Champions League qualifier in mid-week and lost 2-1 to Maribor in Slovenia in the first leg. The away goal gives them a chance in the second leg, which will be played at home next week.
That was their first loss in four matches in all competitions and AIK Fotboll won each of the previous three. Two of which were in the Allsvenskan and AIK Fotboll defeated Elfsborg 3-0 and Helsingborg 2-0, both at home.
There have been under 2.5 goals scored in seven of their last eight league matches and AIK Fotboll have defeated Sirius IK in each of their last five meetings.
Trends show AIK Fotboll have lost only one of their last eleven league games and that came at home to Norrkoping. They are undefeated in their last four away from home, winning three and drawing one. The wins came at Djurgarden, Helsingborg and Kalmar.
Team news and Sirius IK are without Josh Wicks who is suspended. They also have fitness doubts over several players including Adam Stahl, Jesper Arvidsson, Abdul Razak, Robert Åhman-Persson and Stefano Vecchia.
AIK Fotboll are still without the injured duo of Joel Ekstrand and Jesper Nyholm, the latter of which is recovering from a broken leg.
Sirius IK picked up a good point away from home last week but their home form has been poor. AIK Fotboll may have the Champions League on their mind but they are strong enough to come away from this game with a win.
