The race for the title in the South Korean K-League could be a highly fascinating one this season. Although it is early days, one of the likely challengers for the coveted crown look to be five-time K-League champions FC Seoul, who host Suwon Bluewings on Sunday morning.
Seoul have been in impressive form of late in the South Korean top-flight, as a six-match unbeaten run means that the team from the capital are third in standings, just two points behind leaders Jeonbuk Motors.
Seoul’s firepower has been one of the more impressive facets of their game in recent outings, as they have found the net at least twice in four of their last five league matches, including last time out when they beat Gyeongnam 2-1.
Suwon’s recent K-League form has been of the inconsistent variety and has led to the visitors dropping into the relegation group. However, the visitors are just two points outside the Championship group, so they are not a million miles away from the top-six.

Seoul are unbeaten in seven games unbeaten in the South Korean top-flight, winning five of those encounters. They have been impressive in attack on home soil, scoring at least twice in all five of those aforementioned home wins.
Suwon’s recent away record in the league also suggests that they will not record a victory, as they have won just twice on their travels in nine games. Just two clean sheets in their last 11 away matches has not helped Suwon’s chances of improving their away form.
Seoul have had the better of the recent meetings between the two teams and that looks likely to continue in this encounter.
