AIK are the Allsvenskan defending champions having won the league for the sixth time in their history last season. It was the first time they won the title in almost ten years and they are attempting to defend it successfully for the first time in their history.

On Sunday 2nd June AIK welcome Hammarby to the Friends Arena in what is a Stockholm derby. The visitors could move above AIK with a win in this game.

AIK find themselves in 4th place ahead of this game, 6 points behind the leaders Malmo but with a game in hand. Trends show they are in good form and have won four of their last five Allsvenskan matches.

Two of the wins came at home against AFC Eskilstuna and Falkenburg and two away at Djurgarden and Helsingborg. AIK have been tough to beat in Sweden for some time and they have lost only three of their last forty-one league games.

Their home form is excellent and AIK have won each of their last four home Allsvenskan matches plus remain undefeated in their last twenty at the Friends Arena. They have kept a clean sheet in nine of their last thirteen league games on home soil and have scored 2 goals in three of the last four.

Hammarby come into the weekend in 6th place and 2 points behind their hosts. They have enjoyed an unbeaten run of their own in recent weeks and trends show Hammarby are undefeated in their last six Allsvenskan games.

There have been three wins at home against Djurgarden, Sirius and Ostersunds plus one win away at Orebro. However, Hammarby have failed to win their last two matches which have both ended in a draw, one of which was away to Gothenburg.

Trends show Hammarby have found wins difficult to come by on the road this season. They have won one of their five away games, lost two and drawn two.  Both teams have scored in four of those five away matches but they failed to find the back of the net in their previous away game, picking up a point in a 0-0 draw.

Team news and AIK have doubts over the fitness of four players.  However, Kolbeinn Sigthorsson, Robert Lundström and Jesper Nyholm are back in training and could feature in this match.

Hammarby are without the suspended Odilon Kossounou who will be missed in defence. Serge-Junior Ngouali, Johan Wiland and David Fällman are injured while Mads Fenger has been suffering from illness.

AIK are very strong at home and they are expected to win this match. It may be a close game as Hammarby have been tough to beat recently and a single goal could be the difference.
