The final match of the weekend in the Italian Serie A takes place in the capital as Roma welcome Bologna to the Stadio Olimpico.
This game has repercussions at both the top and bottom of the table. Roma need to win to keep themselves in the hunt for a Champions League qualifying place whereas Bologna are battling at the bottom of the league to avoid relegation.
Roma last played on Tuesday night in the Champions League and defeated Porto 2-1 at home. It was a decent result but the concession of an away goal could prove costly in the second leg. The win means Roma are undefeated in eight of their last nine games in all competitions although the defeat was a heavy one at Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia.
Trends show Roma are undefeated in their last six games in Serie A and have won three of those matches by 2 goals or more. In six of their most recent home Serie A games, Roma have seen over 2.5 goals scored and they have been struggling defensively, conceding at least 1 goal in each of their last eight home league matches.
Roma have lost only one of their last fourteen home games in Serie A and have been tough to beat on home soil this season.
Bologna have a relegation battle on their hands and managed to pick up a point last weekend as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Genoa. That result means Bologna have won only one of their last ten games in all competitions although that win did come away from home at Inter Milan.
However, if you go back further you will find Bologna FC have won just two of their last eighteen games in all competitions, which is a poor record.
Conceding goals away from has been a problem and despite keeping a clean sheet in their last away game at Inter Milan, trends show Bologna have conceded 2 or goals in seven of their last ten away league matches. Bologna have found the back of the net themselves in seven of their last eight away Serie A matches but failing to keep them out of their own net has cost them points.
Team news and Roma are still without Cengiz Under, Diego Perotti and Patrik Schick who are all injured.
Bologna travel without the suspended Rodrigo Palacio and with doubts over the fitness of Lyanco Vojnovic and Nehuen Paz. Riccardo Orsolini will definitely miss out with a calf injury.
This should be a good game to watch, with plenty of goal mouth action. There is no doubt Bologna have what it takes to score in this game but they will struggle to prevent Roma outscoring them and a home win with both teams scoring looks a likely outcome.
