On Friday night, Championship QPR host Watford at Loftus Road in the FA Cup fifth round, as both teams look to book their spot in the last eight of the competition.

QPR will take a break from their disappointing Championship campaign for this tough looking fixture. Rangers head into the tie on the back of just one win in their last seven games in all competitions, having suffered five defeats in the process.

The London-based team are unbeaten in three games in the FA Cup, having recorded two wins and a draw. Despite their recent unbeaten run in the competition, QPR have won just two of their last nine matches in the FA Cup.

QPR have won their last two home games in the FA Cup. However, prior to those wins, Rangers had suffered defeat in five of their last six cup games at Loftus Road. Their recent home games in the FA Cup have been relatively high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in four of their last six outings.

Watford are enjoying a solid season and are currently eighth place in the Premier League. The Hornets have been inconsistent of late, but have been hard to beat recently losing just once in their last nine games in all competitions.

The visitors have a strong recent record in the FA Cup, winning eight of their last 11 matches in the cup. Javi Gracia’s side has defeated Woking and Newcastle in the previous rounds of the competition.

The Hornets have a mixed recent away record in the FA Cup, having won four and lost five of their last nine matches on their travels in the competition.

Forebet predicts that Watford will book their place in the last eight of the competition by recording a victory in a low scoring game.
