There are several games being played in the Premier League on Saturday and much of the attention will be towards the top of the table. However, there are two teams further down who have hit a spell of good form recently and they are Watford and Burnley.
Watford begin the weekend sitting in 7th place but have little hope of catching the teams in the top six this season. The form of Manchester United means Watford will remain 7th, even with a win.
Burnley on the other hand can move up the table if they were to take maximum points from this game. The Clarets are 15th, with 21 points and a win could move them above Crystal Place in the Premier League relegation battle.
Watford come into this match having remained unbeaten in their last four games in all competitions. There have been two draws at home against Newcastle United and away to Bournemouth and they were followed by wins at Woking in the FA Cup and Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
Trends show Watford have lost just one of their last seven games in all competitions and that defeat came at home against Chelsea. It is at home where Watford appear to have struggled most recently and the Hornets have lost three of their last five games, winning only one.
Watford have seen over 2.5 goals in nine of their last ten home matches and both teams have scored in seven of their last eight in the Premier League.
Burnley have upped their performance level in recent weeks and travel to Vicarage Road having won each of their last four games. There have been wins at Huddersfield Town in the Premier League, at home against Barnsley in the FA Cup and at home against West Ham United and Fulham in the Premier League.
However, away form has been poor and trends show Burnley have won just one of their last seven away games and only two of the last seventeen away matches in all competitions. Conceding goals has been a problem and Burnley have kept one clean sheet in their last twelve away matches in all competitions.
Burnley have conceded 2 or more goals in five of their last seven matches on the road.
Team news and Watford could be without Will Hughes who suffered a head injury last weekend. The Hornets have Christian Kabasele, Andre Gray and Sebastian Prodl back in training but it remains to be seen if they will be involved.
Burnley are without the suspended Robbie Brady who serves the final game of his ban. Aaron Lennon is expected to be out until February but Johann Berg Gudmundsson could make a return from a thigh injury.
The Clarets have shown some improvement in recent weeks but their overall away record remains poor. Watford have been on a decent run and although they have not been at their best at home, they are expected to win the game.
