Tricky Trees to get the better of the Baggies

Tricky Trees to get the better of the Baggies

On Tuesday night, Nottingham Forest host West Brom at the City Ground in a Midlands’ derby, as both teams look to chalk up their first Championship win of the campaign.

On the opening weekend of the campaign, Forest drew 1-1 at Bristol City, while the visitors suffered a highly disappointing 2-1 home defeat against Bolton Wanderers on their return to the second tier.

Forest’s record in the Championship dating back to last season is not great, as the home side has recorded just two wins in their last 12 league games. The Tricky Trees have also won just one of their last five league outings.

One of the home side’s biggest problems of late in the Championship has been scoring goals, as they have failed to score in 15 of their previous 23 league matches.

Forest’s recent home record in the second tier is not great either, as they have won just three of their last 12 league games on home soil, although they have lost just once in their last seven league games at the City Ground. >

West Brom made a poor start to life back in the Championship with that aforementioned poor defeat against Bolton on the opening weekend.

The Baggies record in the Championship dating back to their last spell in the second tier is mixed, but the visitors have now failed to win in their previous three games in the second tier.

One of the causes of West Brom’s relegation last season was their poor away record, as the Baggies suffered five defeats in their last seven away games. The visitors also scored just three times in those seven games on their travels.

Darren Moore’s side will have to improve on their opening weekend display to have any chance of bouncing straight back into the Premier League.

Forebet predicts that Forest will kick-start their season with a victory in a low scoring encounter.
