Two struggling teams meet in MLS on Monday night, as Montreal Impact host LA Galaxy at the Stade Saputo.
Montreal have made a poor start to their MLS campaign and are currently tenth-place in the Eastern Conference heading into this clash. The Canadian outfit have won just three of their 11 games in MLS this season while losing their other eight outings.
The Impact have, in fact, lost six of their last seven games in the American top-flight. One of the home side’s main problems of late has been conceding too many goals, as Remi Garde’s team has conceded two or more goals in six of their last seven MLS outings.
The Impact also have a poor record on home turf, losing seven of their last nine MLS games at the Stade Saputo. Once again, conceding goals has been a big problem in their home games, as they have conceded at least two goals in four of their last five home outings.
LA Galaxy are experiencing a difficult MLS campaign so far. The visitors are currently ninth in the Western Conference. A run of four straight defeats in MLS has hindered their chances of securing a play-off spot.
The Galaxy have been poor in defence of late, conceding two or more goals in their last four MLS games. Last time out Sigi Schmid’s side suffered a 3-2 defeat in Dallas. The defeat means that the visitors have now also lost five of their last six outings in MLS.
The Galaxy’s recent record on the road is poor, as they have recorded just one win in their last 14 away games in MLS. Schmid’s side has also conceded at least two goals in seven of their last nine away games in the American top-flight.
Forebet predicts that the home side will get back to winning ways in this clash with a victory in a high scoring clash.
