Yellow Submarine to sink Los Ches

Yellow Submarine to sink Los Ches

On Saturday night, Villarreal host Valencia at the Estadio de la Ceramica, as the home side look to seal a top-six spot in La Liga.

Villarreal have been in and around the top-six for much of the season. Javi Calleja’s side currently occupy the last Europa League spot in the Spanish top-flight, five points clear of seventh place Getafe. In fact, the home side could seal a European spot with a victory.

The home side has been relatively prolific in La Liga of late scoring two or more goals in five of their last seven games in the Spanish top-flight. Villarreal’s goalscoring exploits has contributed to there being over 2.5 goals scored in five of their last six La Liga games.

Villarreal have a decent home record in La Liga of late, winning four of their last six outings in the Spanish top-flight. Their last four La Liga games on home soil have produced over 2.5 goals.

Valencia are all but in the Champions League for next season, with fifth-place Real Betis eight points behind Los Ches. Another win or even a draw in this clash could be enough to clinch a spot in Europe’s elite competition for next season.

Los Ches recent form in La Liga has been poor, as Marcelino’s side have drawn their last two league games after successive defeats against Barcelona and Getafe.

Valencia have a relatively poor away record in La Liga, winning just four of their last 12 games on their travels in the Spanish top-flight. Marcelino’s side has lost against Barcelona and drawn against Celta Vigo in their last league game on the road.

This could be a tight game between two very good teams.  Forebet predicts that the home side will record a victory while producing over 2.5 goals.
