On Saturday afternoon, two of the teams embroiled in the Premier League relegation battle meet at the Amex Stadium, as Brighton host Swansea City.
There is just a point between 14th place Brighton and the 16th place visitors in the top-flight table. However, both teams are just above the drop zone, with Brighton just two points clear and the visitor’s just one point clear of danger.
Despite being just above the relegation zone, both teams have shown a big recent improvement in their form in recent Premier League games.
Brighton are now unbeaten in three top-flight games, while Swansea are unbeaten in five games.
Last time out in the top-flight, the Seagulls drew 1-1 at fellow strugglers Stoke City. Chris Hughton’s side have enjoyed mixed fortunes at the AMEX Stadium in the Premier League of late, as they have won just two of their last ten league games on home soil. However, six of those ten games have finished in draws.
Swansea have enjoyed a major revival under affable Portuguese boss Carlos Carvahal. The Swans have now won three of their last four top-flight games, including recording a 1-0 win over Burnley last time out in the league.
Their recent league games have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in five of the last six top-flight outings. The Swans are unbeaten in three games on their travels in the league, although their last two games have finished in draws.
The Welsh side do still have a habit of conceding goals on their travels though, as they have not kept a clean sheet in their last ten away games in the top-flight. In keeping with that theme, both teams have scored in five of Swansea’s last six away games in the league.
There is not much difference between these two teams at all, so it is unsurprising that Forebet predicts that this game will finish in a draw.
