Patronato and Newell’s set for draw

Patronato and Newell’s set for draw

On Monday night, Patronato Parana host Newell’s Old Boys at the Estadio Presbitero Bartolome Grella in the Argentinian Superliga.

The home side have enjoyed a poor start to their Superliga campaign. Now they sit 15th in the table, having picked up just ten points from their seven games in the Argentinian top-flight this season.

Juan Pumpido’s side are currently three games without a victory in the Primera Division. Last time out, they picked up a 1-1 draw at Independiente, who are above the home side by just a place and a point in the league table.

Patronato’s recent league games have been relatively low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in four of their last six outings in the Primera Division, including their last three games.

Their recent home record in the Superliga is not a great one, as the home side have won just two of their last 11 home games in the league. However, both of those victories have been in their last three home games in the league.

Newell’s Old Boys find themselves 20th in the Superliga table after a poor start to their league campaign. However, a victory in Parana would move the men from Rosario above the hosts in the table.

Last time out in the Superliga, Newell’s ended a three-game run without a win by recording a 2-1 win over Chacarita Juniors. However, Juan Llop’s side have now won just two of their last 11 games in the Superliga.

Newell also has a terrible recent away record in the Superliga. The visitors have lost their last six games on their travels in the Argentinian top-flight while failing to score in four of those six defeats.

Neither of these sides seems able to find consistency and Forebet predicts that this game will end all square.
